What got you interested in rugby and why did you join the Crusaders?

I decided to play rugby as a different way to meet new people who work together for a common goal.

What position(s) do you play?

I have played as a lock, weak-side flanker, strong-side flanker, and left wing at times. Yes, even the big guys have to run sometimes.

How long have you played rugby?

I’ve been playing rugby for about two years. USA Rugby likes to call me a “senior player” but I still learn more and more each match.

What do you do for a living?

Currently, I work for McOpCo as a Mid-Manager.

What’s a fun fact about you?

I am a Canadian expat.
(psst... if you're not sure what that is, we definitely recommend Googling it.)

What’s your favorite thing about rugby?

My favorite thing about rugby is how close I have become to my teammates, especially the “tight five”. The Crusaders are a very diverse group of men who might have never met outside of rugby. For eighty minutes each match, we work together in snow, wind, rain, or heat to fight for a try.

If you are going to Bingham, what are you most excited about?

I cannot wait to play in the Bingham Cup! To play and meet other IGR ruggers from around the world for five days… It is sure to be an experience I will never forget and remember for a lifetime.

Overall, how has rugby affected your life?

Playing rugby and just being a Crusader has been one of the most positive choices I have ever made. Teamwork and brotherhood in the IGR network is very unique and wonderful. That experience will always be with me.
