Join The Crusade

So you're interested in playing for the Crusaders? Great! We love new players no matter their experience in rugby. The best way to find out if rugby is for you is to attend a few practices. Learn the basics and meet the team. If you have questions, feel free to head over to our Rugby 101 and FAQ for more information. Practices and game days

In-season practices are typically held on Thursdays from 6:30-8:00 p.m, and Saturdays 12:00-2:00 p.m. The only reason we will cancel practice is for severe weather like lightning or dangerous road conditions. Make sure to check our Instagram for up-to-date information.

As the saying goes, "Saturday is a Rugby Day" so the majority of our games will be held on Saturdays with kickoff being around 1 p.m.

Our season

Our competitive fall season runs from approximately August to November with around 5-6 matches. Our spring season runs from March to June with a similar amount of matches. During the winter, we are in our off-season but will still get together occasionally for team workouts at a local indoor place.

Registrations and Dues

Players are required to register annually with USA Rugby. Registration expires at the end of August and must be renewed each year. The fee for USA Rugby registration helps support the national organization and includes a basic level of insurance for participants. You can find more about it here.

There is a $25 seasonal club due that can be paid either annually or per season. You can also work with our President or Treasurer to work out a payment plan. These dues help cover the cost of running the club since we are a nonprofit organization. Don't let money stop you from joining, though. We are happy to work with you because we don't want it to be the reason you don't join.
